DNS records – Briefly explained

DNS records represent simple instructions for a precise domain name. They are kept in a DNS zone on the Authoritative DNS server responsible for the domain name. Their main goal is to deliver information regarding a domain name, for example, its corresponding IP address. DNS records can be of various different types, and each one of them has an exact purpose.
